Low Level Laser Therapy

“...Time and space and gravity, have no separate existence from matter.”

-Albert Einstein

Low level laser (LLLT) or cold laser is used for sports injuries, arthritic joints, neuropathic pain syndromes, back and neck pain because

irradiation stimulates collagen production, improves DNA synthesis, and improves the function of damaged neurological tissue.  Your DNA actually gives off pulsations of light before it divides, signaling growth and regeneration to the rest of your body, as it creates new cells.  LLLT is a painless and specific approach to maintaining health and homeostasis in cells and tissues.

How Does The Laser Work?

LLLT is the use of a focused beam of non-heated light rays which speed up healing and recovery. Wherever the beam is applied, tissues increase their repair as well as pain and inflammation are drastically reduced.  Low level laser acts via photochemical reactions (see photobioliogy or biostimulation) in the cell to alter cellular function.

What Should I Expect From Treatments?

Treatments vary based on the tissue being targeted.  You will rarely feel any heat or vibration from the laser.  Sometimes people will feel beam when applied to certain areas of the body, but overall the frequency is too specific to be felt by our basic senses.

What Can LLLT Help With?

LLLT can help with an array of conditions as well, it is a great prevention and health maintenance tool.
